Maximizing the Google Checkout $10 Bonus

If you think that you're going to get something for absolutely nothing out of this promotion- I wish you luck. It would seem that the promotion merchants have taken this into account and structured the shipping fees to make this impossible. It also appears that you have to spend at least ten dollars for the promotion to kick in. I doubt that the onslaught of $9.99 is purely a pricing coincidence. Yes, yes… tinfoil hats for everyone.

Because the prices I found at newegg.com still trumped the Google merchants, buying a single item priced over ten dollars probably isn't your best bet for computer gear. Dicks.com does have some competitively priced athletic gear (if you look long and hard).

Long story short, buy multiple items under ten dollars. I noticed that JR.com combined shipping. So, if you buy two items that are $5.01 a piece you qualify for the discount and end up only paying one shipping charge (plus two cents).
